PPMF for Android (password protects media files)
PPMF for Android is a privacy application that protects media files (video, audio, and image files) with a password and plays/shows them on the fly like normal media files.
It leaves no trace (decryption is done on the fly, in memory, and creates no disk cache, no temp files)
PPMF & PPIF files can be created and played on Windows and Mobile devices (currently Android only).
With this application, you can preview PPMF & PPIF files just like regular files in a folder with thumbnails, rating, file names, media information and so on.
You can add/edit keywords, change poster image, thumbnails, search by keyword, sort by rating, by file name, by media type, etc.

Privacy Policy
You can use this application without worrying about your privacy. Maximizing your privacy is one of the main purposes of this application.
For maximum possible privacy:
- This application does NOT collect or store any of your data in any way.
- Cache files are encrypted and stored in the AppData folder with the password of the associated PPMF files.
Cache files cannot be opened without knowing the password of the associated PPMF files.
- This application does NOT track bugs or your use of the application in any way.
- This application does NOT connect to the Internet except to check for license key revocation ONLY DURING activation.
- Activation code of this application is universal and anonymous. It can be used on any device that runs this application.

Features
- List, play, preview, search, sort PPMF and PPIF files:
PPMF & PPIF files can be listed with their poster images as if they were a folder full of images with thumbnail previews.
Double-click/tap poster image to open/play media file on the fly.
- Encrypt Media: Protect media files (Video, Audio, and image files) with a password.
- Decrypt Media: Decrypt (extract) original media files from PPMF & PPIF files without any data loss.
- Password changer: Change password of PPMF & PPIF files, or create a copy of them with a different password.
- Auto exit: PPMF application can auto-close when it goes to background, when device is in sleep mode, or when sleep button is pressed, or Device idle time longer than user-defined auto-close timeout
- No screenshot: By default, screenshot, screen mirroring, casting, etc. of this application is disabled. To enable screen mirroring, you must disable this feature in the settings each time you start the application.
- Video can be zoomed in and out like an image
- Custom keyboard More than 200 built-in keyboards.
Regular keyboards keep track of what you type.
Using custom keybords is more privacy friendly when entering passwords or searching for keywords.

PPMF and PPIF files
PPMF (Password Protected Media file): It is an encrypted video or audio file with additional information such as thumbnails, tags, keywords, media information, etc.
Supports all popular video and audio files (e.g. mp3, m4a, flac, mp4, webm, mkv, avi, wmv, flv...)
AES-256 is used to encrypt the data. Default key derivations are RFC2898 50000, BCrypt 1667, and Argon 2id (64 MB mem. thread 4).
Argon and BCrypt iterations depend on the RFC2898 iteration count and the PIN provided by the user.
User can increase number of iterations by defining PIN (Password iteration number) when encrypting media files.
PIN + password makes the password very strong
PPIF (Password Protected Image file): It is an encrypted image file (jpg, png, webp, heic, heif ...) with additional information e.g. thumbnails, tags, keywords, media information, etc.

You only need a one-time Internet connection to activate it.

Known issues & situations
- By default, screen capture, screen mirroring, casting, etc. are disabled for this application.
In order to enable screen mirroring, casting, you will need to enable this feature in the settings every time you start the application.
(intentionally we do not save value of this setting)
- Auto exit feature: False by default.
The application closes automatically when it goes to the background, when the device is in sleep mode, or when the sleep button is used if the password cache is not empty.
So you might think the app has crashed if you switch to another app and try to switch back to the PPMF app (it is closed).
This is normal behaviour if the Auto Exit feature is enabled and the password cache is not empty.
