(I) We have moved backwards in the last 50 or so years. (II) An international collaboration similarto the one that gave birth to Concorde is unthinkable under present day conditions. (Ill) It's not that the technology isn't available or even that a prestigious aircraft wouldn't be financially viable. (IV) The story of Concorde's long and challenging journey to full commercial flight certification is one of the most notable developments in aviation history. (V) It's more that the will a nd daring that made Concorde possible aren't part of the scene today, in the way they were in the 1960s.
