(II) Perhaps one of the most famous contemporary travellers is Nick Danziger, who in his lifetime has made many epic trips to dangerous places. (III) He became famous in the mid-eighties when he was the first foreigner to cross from Pakistan into the closed Western province of China, since the revolution in 1949. (IV) Heavily disguised and carrying a false Identity card, he fooled Chinese officials by passing through the border in a convoy of weapons. (V) Since then, he has continued to break barriers and cross boundaries of all kinds, often risking his own life in the process.
