(IV) What an individual can learn is determined not only by his level of physical and mental maturation but also by what skills, attitudes, interests, tastes, and knowledge he has already developed. (V) If the height of an individual's enjoyment in reading is Donald Duck, for example, it would be a mistake to begin with Lady of the Lake to advance his literary taste.
